Catawba County opened a 6,500-square-foot Emergency Medical Services station on June 23, calling the roughly $3.4 million project the third and final standalone EMS base in a long-term replacement plan.
The June 16 adopted budget holds the property tax rate at .3985 cents per $100 valuation, funds $120 million toward Catawba County Schools middle-school expansions, and adds public-safety staffing.
